Upcoming Michigan Clinical Research Unit (MCRU) Administrative Changes
October 26, 2022
The Michigan Clinical Research Unit (MCRU) is pleased to welcome Barb Sullins, who will be taking on additional oversight of MCRU. Many may know Barb in her current role as Assistant Director of Inpatient Clinical Research and acute care research studies manager in the M-CTSU. She will remain in her inpatient role, as well as MCRU.
Current MCRU Administrative Manager, Sean Lezak, has accepted a position within the U-M Quality Department and will be stepping down from MCRU on November 4, 2022. Sean has dedicated countless hours in the last three years to lay down a strong foundation in MCRU and hire a cadre of talented staff. He was instrumental in returning infusion services and RNs to the unit, along with many other process improvements. We greatly appreciate his dedication to the unit and his support. Our gratitude and best wishes go to Sean, and we wish him all the success in his new position.
Barb, Sean, Dr. Lugogo, and CTSO leadership are currently working together to facilitate a smooth transition.
Please join us in congratulating and welcoming Barb to her newly expanded role, and in thanking Sean for his contributions to the unit.
